Meet Glenmoor’s Board of Directors
Bob is Executive Director of PARC Foundation. Bob’s background includes corporate, small business and nonprofit experiences. Prior to working with the PARC Foundation Bob was Sr. Vice President of Business Expansion & Workforce for the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce and was in the restaurant business with Morrisons, Inc. for 15 years. He was Regional Vice President when he left Morrisons in 1990 to open up his own business. Bob and his wife, Prudence, owned and operated a small business for six years. Bob serves as a member of Small Business Administration Advisory Committee, Seniors on a Mission board, and joined the Glenmoor Board in 2014.
Rod retired from JPMorgan Chase in 2008 after a successful 35 year career in banking. He served in the U.S. NAVY Reserve (2 yrs. Active/4 yrs. Reserve) and graduated in 1973 from the University of South Carolina, B.S. Economics. Rodney currently is Chairman of Federal Property Registration Co./Vacantregistry.com and serves on the Board of Directors of GOODWILL Industries of Northeast Florida. Rodney and his wife, Pat, live in Ponte Vedra and have 3 married daughters and 6 grandchildren.
Chairman of the Board
George originally joined the Vicar’s Board in 2002 and retired from the board after serving three terms. This year he has joined the Glenmoor Board as Chair and the LCPS, Inc. Board as Vice Chair. George received a BA. in Hotel Restaurant Management from Michigan State and is retired General Manager of Sawgrass Country Club. His professional and civic activities have included the Ponte Vedra Beach Rotary, Florida Hotel & Motel Assn., Jacksonville Hotel & Motel Assn, St. Johns County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Members of Club Managers Assn. of America, and the Northeast Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross. He and his wife Jackie live in the Ponte Vedra area.
Buck has lived in Jacksonville since 1971. He graduated from Emory University with a B. A. in Economics and a J. D. He has an LL. M. in the area of taxation from New York University. He spent three years with the Department of Treasury in Washington, DC doing trial work for the Internal Revenue Service and four years in private practice in Jacksonville. In 1975 he joined his family business that was involved in the manufacture and distribution of industrial products throughout the southeastern United States and retired in 1999. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Jacksonville University and the Board of Directors of the Jacksonville Port Authority. Buck joined the Glenmoor Board in 2014 and serves on the Finance/Marketing Committee.
Dick Kohler and family have lived in Jacksonville/Ponte Vedra since 1982. Currently retired, he was a principal in, and later owner of, Sheldrick, McGehee and Kohler (SMK) an East Coast business appraisal firm. Services included financial and market analysis for larger privately owned businesses. Reports were utilized by clients for estate planning, strategic planning, and ownership succession. Dick graduated from Brown University and attended graduate and professional schools at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NYC graduate school of business and completed advanced courses sponsored by The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Dick has served as a volunteer or trustee of various local non-profit organizations. He joined the Glenmoor board in 2013 and serves on the Finance Committee.
William J. Murdock
Chairman, Finance/Marketing Committee
Bill has a BS in economics from Lafayette College and with Price Waterhouse Coopers where he earned his CPA certificate. After successfully starting and growing his own CPA firm, Murdock & company, he joined one of his clients, American Infrastructure, Inc., a large construction company as its first CFO. Bill is now retired. In addition to serving on the board of Glenmoor, he serves on the finance committees of Christ Episcopal Church and the Sawgrass Association and the Legal and Bylaws committee of Sawgrass Country Club.published by on
